The 2008 Ford E350 15 Passenger Van
2008 was the year that Ford made some visual changes to their E350 series. The new and improved 15 passenger van had a new look in the front and on the underneath chassis. This allowed for better handling and braking. A notable improvement was that the rear seating was a lot more comfortable as well.
Passenger vans that can carry lots of people have been popular but they were not always that easy to drive. The demand for large vans that can carry people and/or cargo has always been there, but unfortunately there were several issues with older models.
One of the main concerns was the handling of such a large vehicle. By 2008
modern technology has allowed for better front and rear suspensions. This helps improve the steering and braking capability of these vans. Quite honestly it was about time for Ford to make some engineering updates to their E series.
The 2008 Ford E350 comes with much better safety features too. This includes four wheel antilock disc brakes as a standard feature. Plus on the inside there is a manual deactivation switch for the air bag on the front passenger side.
The standard engine on the E350 is a 5.4 liter V8. This engine comes with Advance Trac Stability control as standard along with a rollover avoidance system. One popular option on the E150 15 passenger van is traction control but for those of you looking at the E350 model this is included as a standard feature.
For those who prefer a bigger engine then you can opt for the 6.0 liter Power Stroke Turbo Diesel V8. This engine is capable of producing 235 horsepower with 440 lbs of torque per foot. A five speed automatic transmissions compliments this engine.
For those of you who want to tow then the E350 Super Duty Diesel V8 is the model for you. This will allow you to tow between 7,500 to 10,000 lbs.
On the inside the 2008 Ford E350 15 passenger van is still roomy. The features have not changed that much in the last 15 or so years, but if you are familiar with the Ford E350 van then you will not be surprised.
One nice addition to the 2008 model is that there is more room in the rear seats on the 15 passenger van. The legroom changed a little on the second row to accommodate this change.
When it comes to cargo capacity you just cannot outdo the Ford E350 series. Depending upon your model you can have anywhere from 237 to 275 cubic feet of cargo room. So whether you need to carry passengers or cargo you won’t run short of space if you choose a Ford E350 van.
