  • 2012 F150 XLT and F250 XLT Series

    Currently the 2012 F150 XLT series will be available as a Super Duty truck and starts with the F250. The base price will carry a $32,555 price tag and comes loaded with basic standard features.

    As with every Ford vehicle safety is forefront and these Super Duty trucks are no exception. They come with standard front air bags as part of Ford’s Personal Safety System. Ford has also included front side impact airbags. The AdvanceTrac system includes a trailer sway control on all models.

    Child tethers and a belt minder system complete with warning lights are standard features on this 2012 model. The seat belts come with height adjustments and are color coordinated. An SOS Post Crash Alert System is yet another standard feature on this F250 truck.

    For security Ford has included a remote keyless entry system along with a perimeter anti theft alarm. Ford’s SecuriLock system locks the engine and prevents theft.

    The XLT comes with a manual temperature control system. Cup holders are integrated into the rear armrest of the Crew Cab model. The floor covering of the cab is color coordinated and you do have the option of purchasing all weather floor mats if you wish.

    The instrument panels are also color coordinated to the interior along with map lights in the front and rear of the cab. All door locks and windows are powered equipment with extra auxiliary power points included.

    If you do a lot of trailering or park your truck around children you may wish to opt for the rear view camera which can be installed as an upgrade. The standard rear view mirror is an 11.5 inch day/night mirror.

    Anyone who drives a truck still wants to have power and performance. With this new 2012 Ford XLT model you will get both. This Super Duty truck will feature an E85 capable 6.2L gas V8 with an available diesel version with a turbocharger. Either engine will provide you with power and economy. The truck comes with a 6 speed SelectShift transmission system.

    If you are looking for upgrades in the power and handling areas then you can opt for an upgraded alternator for the diesel engine and choose from a single 200 amp or dual 357 amp alternator.

    Standard features for handling include power steering and a steering damper. A tire pressure monitoring system and integrated trailer brake control. A standard trailer tow package is also included.

    Ford always likes to provide their customers with value for money and this is clearly demonstrated in this XLT model. The basic model provides you with plenty of features and you have the ability to add on as you see fit.
